Championship on unarmed self-defense among police officers held in Nasimi district – VIDEO/PHOTO

A championship on unarmed self-defense and hand-to-hand combat among police officers, dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, has been held at the Nasimi District Police Department.

“Elchi” reports that representatives of the district police department, the executive power, and the Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs attended the event.

First, the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with a minute of silence, and the National Anthem was played. The guests who spoke wished the participants success in the competition.

In the competition, 85 officers from the Nasimi District Police Department competed in 5 weight categories. The police officers who won the championship, which was held in two stages including unarmed self-defense and hand-to-hand combat, were awarded medals, diplomas, and commemorative gifts.
