The Media Development Agency has announced a competition to support print media entities.
elchi reports that socio-political newspapers included in the Media Registry can participate in the competition.
To participate in the competition, the application and attached documents must be submitted electronically to the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan via the mib.media.gov.az portal.
At the end of the competition, a contract for the provision of financial assistance is signed between the winning newspaper editorial offices and the Agency, which remains in force for 6 (six) months.
The Agency provides financial assistance for the printing of one issue of the newspapers per week, and for this purpose, they are paid a monthly amount of 5000 (five thousand) manats, while the newspaper’s website of the same name is provided with monthly financial assistance of 3000 manats (if an intention for substantial renewal is expressed, 5000 manats for the first month).
Note that it is possible to apply for the competition until 18:00 on May 12, 2026.
