From April 5 to 12, the I International Art Competition-Festival “Caspi Art Sanat” was held in Alanya, Turkey.
“Elchi” reports that Afaq Valimammadova, who participated from Azerbaijan in the mentioned competition, was awarded 1st place for her successful performance in the “conducting” category.
Musicians representing a total of 7 countries, including Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Romania, and Kazakhstan, participated in the festival. Within the framework of the event, master classes were organized in various directions. Afaq Valimammadova also participated in master classes held in the field of choral conducting.
She was remembered as one of the standout figures among young musicians.
The conductor graduated from the Baku Music Academy and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory. Currently, she is engaged in pedagogical activities at the Baku City Eleven-Year Music School No. 24.
It should be noted that Afaq Valimammadova is a laureate of various international competitions. In October 2025, she won 3rd place in the conducting category at the “Talanttar Alemi” international competition held in Baku, co-organized by Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. In February of this year, she was awarded 1st place as the leader of a children’s choir at the X International Music Competition “Cantilena”, and 1st place in the “conducting” category at the X International Music Competition “Andantino”.
