“Russia struck a thermal power plant (TPP) in Kyiv with “Shahed” type UAVs. In Dnipropetrovsk region, four power substations were attacked last night alone. In the early morning, a Russian drone hit a thermal power plant in Shostka”.
elchi reports that this was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“Railway infrastructure was hit in the cities of Dnipro and Kharkiv. Russia also attacked a gas supply facility in Dnipropetrovsk region.
After these strikes by Russia, the situation with electricity supply in our regions has become complicated. In the city and region of Dnipro, about 200,000 families are left without electricity. In Kyiv region, the electricity supply of more than 80,000 more families has been cut off. Repair crews are working to eliminate the consequences of the attacks and restore electricity supply”, the head of state said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the world sees Russia targeting civilian infrastructure every day:
“Everyone who does not want the further expansion of this escalation by Russia in Europe must help Ukraine. Real steps towards peace must be taken. These are sanctions against the aggressor and new support packages for Ukraine.”
