European leaders seek to de-escalate tensions between Kyiv and Washington

European Union leaders are intending to urge Vladimir Zelensky to soften his public criticism of US President Donald Trump, fearing a further deterioration of relations between Washington and Kyiv.

elchi reports that the Financial Times published this information.

According to the publication, the message from the 27 EU leaders will be “understanding, but firm.” This message is planned to be delivered to Zelensky in person during a closed meeting as part of the EU summit to be held in Brussels on October 16.

“This may be true, but it is not mandatory to make loud statements about everything,” one of the newspaper’s interlocutors said, commenting on Zelensky’s complaints.
