Regular bus routes in various directions are being put up for tender in Azerbaijan.
elchi was informed about this by the Azerbaijan National Agency of Surface Transport (AYNA) under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
It was stated that as part of measures to improve the quality of passenger transportation services, the following intercity bus routes are being put up for tender: suburban routes No. 166, 194, 505, and 506 in the capital, intercity route No. 10V in Sumgayit city, as well as Baku-Imishli, Baku-Siyazan, Baku-Aghjabadi, Baku-Aghdam, Baku-Kurdamir, Sumgayit-Gusar, Sumgayit-Beylagan, Sumgayit-Aghsu, Mingachevir-Gadabay, Mingachevir-Gabala, Shaki-Oghuz, Gakh-Ganja, Balaken-Sumgayit, Barda-Shaki, Gakh-Shaki, and Astara-Lankaran.
Documents will be accepted until November 5, 2026, at 17:00 at the Azerbaijan National Agency of Surface Transport (Address: Baku city, H. Mammadov street 5; Contact person: Firdovsi Jahangirov (mob: 077-455-99-06, e-mail: cahangirov@ayna.gov.az)).
In addition to the main buses, reserve vehicles must also be submitted for the tender.
It should be noted that the route scheme for the Sumgayit-Aghsu route has been determined by the M2 Baku- Alat-Qazakh-State Border of the Republic of Georgia highway.
The Balaken-Sumgayit route is planned to operate every other day.
The commission will review the bidders’ proposals on November 20 for 5 lots in the directions of Baku-Imishli, Baku-Siyazan, Baku-Aghjabadi, Baku-Aghdam, and Baku-Kurdamir; on November 24 for 5 lots in the directions of Sumgayit-Gusar, Sumgayit-Beylagan, Sumgayit-Aghsu, Mingachevir-Gadabay, and Mingachevir-Gabala; on November 27 for 5 lots in the directions of Shaki-Oghuz, Gakh-Ganja, Balaken-Sumgayit, Barda-Shaki, and Astara-Lankaran; and on December 1 for 6 lots for suburban routes No. 166 (Mashtagha settlement – Nakhchivanski street), No. 194 (Gobu Park residential complex – “20 Yanvar” metro station), No. 505 (Jeyranbatan settlement – “Sədərək” shopping center – “Absheron” shopping center), No. 506 (Masazir village – “Absheron” shopping center – “Sədərək” shopping center) in the capital, No. 10V (H.Z. Taghiyev settlement (“Kosmonavt” residential area – Peace Avenue (central market)) in Sumgayit city, and the intercity Gakh-Shaki route.
