Statistics on the usage share of social network platforms in Azerbaijan for September 2026 have been released.
elchi reports, citing Trend, that according to the “Global Stats” Statistics Center, “Facebook” had the highest market share among social media platforms in Azerbaijan during the reporting month. The platform’s usage share decreased by 9.61 percentage points compared to the previous month, constituting 37.26 percent.
“YouTube” ranked second. The platform’s market share in Azerbaijan decreased by 7.71 percentage points to 21.56 percent in September.
“Instagram” took third place with a 12.32 percent market share. The platform’s indicator decreased by 1.3 percentage points compared to the previous month.
“X” (formerly “Twitter”) ranked fourth. The platform’s market share was 11.02 percent. This figure dropped by 0.72 percentage points on a monthly comparison.
“Pinterest” ranked fifth with a 7.69 percent market share. The platform’s share increased by 1.93 percentage points in September compared to the previous month.
“LinkedIn” ranked sixth. The platform’s market share in Azerbaijan was 5.19 percent, a decrease of 2.03 percentage points on a monthly comparison.
“Reddit” ranked seventh with a 4.76 percent indicator. The platform’s market share increased by 0.33 percentage points compared to the previous month.
Thus, in September, the top three social networks in Azerbaijan by market share consisted of “Facebook”, “YouTube”, and “Instagram”.
“Facebook” Leads Globally
Based on global indicators, “Facebook” also held the highest market share worldwide in September 2026.
The platform’s global market share increased by 0.02 percentage points to 71.32 percent compared to the previous month.
“X” ranked second globally with a 7.42 percent indicator. The platform’s global market share decreased by 0.73 percentage points in September on a monthly comparison.
“Instagram” ranked third. The platform’s global market share was 7.39 percent, which is 0.49 percentage points more than the previous month.
“YouTube” ranked fourth with a 7.25 percent market share. The platform’s indicator decreased by 0.95 percentage points on a monthly comparison.
“Pinterest” ranked fifth with a 3.38 percent indicator. Its global market share increased by 0.36 percentage points during the month.
“Reddit” ranked sixth among social networks worldwide with a 2.42 percent market share. The platform’s indicator rose by 0.82 percentage points compared to the previous month.
“LinkedIn” ranked seventh with a 0.61 percent market share. The platform’s global indicator increased by 0.04 percentage points in September.
According to the statistics, there is a significant difference between the ranking of social networks in the Azerbaijani and global markets. While “YouTube” ranked second and “LinkedIn” ranked sixth in Azerbaijan, in the global ranking, “X” is second, “Instagram” is third, and “YouTube” is fourth.
