Renowned Turkish philosopher, Professor Ioanna Kuçuradi, has passed away.
elchi reports that the philosopher died at the age of 89 at the Teaching and Research Hospital of the Faculty of Medicine at Maltepe University, where she was receiving treatment.
According to information, the farewell ceremony for Ioanna Kuçuradi will be held on October 4th at Maltepe University. The philosopher will be laid to rest on the same day at the Şişli Greek Orthodox cemetery.
It should be noted that Ioanna Kuçuradi was known for her research in the fields of human rights, philosophy of the human, and ethics. She served as the President of the Turkish Philosophical Society and Honorary President of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies. For many years, Kuçuradi was active in various national and international organizations in the field of human rights. She also headed the Maltepe University Center for Human Rights and Philosophy Application and Research, and the UNESCO Chair operating within the center.
