On October 2, the Swiss Federal Council decided to finance eight projects aimed at supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine by Swiss companies.
“Elchi” reports that the Swiss government announced this.
Projects were selected through a competition among Swiss companies with branches in Ukraine.
“These projects should also contribute to maintaining and creating jobs, as well as increasing the qualifications of local specialists, through targeted training and Swiss expertise. At the same time, these projects allow Swiss companies to strengthen their activities and partnerships in Ukraine,” the statement said.
Switzerland is already financing projects by Swiss companies aimed at increasing sustainability in Ukraine. On October 2, the Federal Council approved eight more projects in the fields of energy, public transport, and water supply with a total amount of 135 million Swiss francs (over $162 million).
Winning companies must independently finance at least 10% of the project costs. The final selection was made in cooperation with the Ukrainian government, taking into account the country’s needs.
