‘Open Door Day’ Event Held for Schoolchildren

An ‘open door day’ event was held at the Yasamal District Fire Protection Unit, organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Students of the European Azerbaijan School, as well as their teachers and educators, participated in the event.

The purpose of holding the event was to contribute to the comprehensive development of children, their healthy physical and moral upbringing, the formation of a culture of safe life activity, as well as basic fire safety knowledge, and to increase their awareness of the professional activities of firefighters.

During the ‘open door day’ event, participants were given detailed information about the daily routines of firefighters and the activities of the units, and the rules for using basic fire extinguishing equipment and a part of the employees’ daily drills were demonstrated visually. Also, children got acquainted with the necessary fire-fighting and other rescue equipment and tools used during emergencies and were informed about the rules of safe behavior during emergencies.

Questions that interested the children were answered during the event, which was held in an interesting way.
