The poisoning of children as a result of an unknown person distributing candy in front of the school is not true.
It was reported to elchi from the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) that a voice recording has been circulated on social media about an unknown person distributing candy in front of the school and the subsequent poisoning of children.
According to the information, the claims made in the voice recording were not confirmed as a result of the investigation conducted regarding the circulated voice recording.
‘Citizens are asked not to spread information whose source and accuracy have not been determined, and especially not to create conditions for such information to cause unfounded concern among the public regarding the health and safety of children’, – stated the MIA.
It should be noted that today, a mass poisoning was recorded among students at Secondary School No. 36 in Sumgayit city.
According to TABIB, 21 people (17 male, 4 female) were hospitalized today from around 10:20 AM with suspected poisoning in the Infectious Diseases Department of the Sumgayit Medical Center Children’s Hospital.
It was reported that the treatment of patients who received the necessary medical services is continuing in the relevant department, and their condition is assessed as stable.
According to the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency, an investigation is underway to determine the causes of the incident.
