Tech billionaire Elon Musk is returning to the Trump administration as an official advisor; he will co-chair an initiative that the Pentagon describes as a study into the future of warfare.

Speaking at the Quantico Marine Corps Base on Wednesday, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth stated that the “Meridian” project will be an initiative undertaken by America’s brightest minds to explore the future of warfare.
Hegseth noted that they leverage a unique advantage that US adversaries do not possess, consisting of innovators, high-level leaders, and technology experts.
Musk will co-chair the “Meridian” project alongside Palmer Lucky, the 34-year-old co-founder of defense technology company Anduril Industries, and former Speaker of the House, 83-year-old Republican Newt Gingrich.
