Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho shared his thoughts on the departure of 41-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo from the Portuguese national team.
elchi reports that Mourinho’s words were published by “O Globo” publication.
“Cristiano is a winner. He has an ego, and this ego has brought him goals, titles, and records for 20 years. This is normal. But now he must learn to control his ego. Football will not wait for him. His body is no longer the same,” Mourinho said.
Mourinho also spoke about the head coach of the Portuguese national team, Jorge Jesus, characterizing him as a good coach who can work with great players and is not afraid of them.
“If he makes a decision, he does it because he thinks it will benefit the team,” Mourinho added.
