A student of one of the schools in Yakutia attempted to organize a terrorist act, having previously set fire to the educational institution’s building.
“Elchi” reports, citing TASS, that this was announced by the joint press service of the courts of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic.
A lawsuit was filed with the court by the acting head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Verkhnevilyuysk district of Russia. The justification for the claims stated that from July to September, the minor committed actions aimed at preparing for the commission of a particularly serious crime against two or more persons in the school building.
“For this purpose, he created a closed channel in one of the messengers, where he described in detail when, where, and under what circumstances he intended to commit illegal actions. The teenager secretly stole hunting cartridges from his father’s gun safe, took pictures with his father’s rifle to publish in the messenger, and prepared a backpack and a shirt with inscriptions made with paint. In addition, the minor organized a fire in the school building, and his thoughts about planning a terrorist act at the educational institution were also recorded,” the statement said.
By court decision, the teenager was placed in a temporary detention center for juvenile offenders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic for a period of up to 30 days.
