The Swedish government has decided to provide fighter jets for NATO’s operation in Poland.

The fighter jets will be provided in October. They will participate for the second time in an air surveillance mission from Poland “to protect NATO’s airspace and continue supplying weapons to Ukraine.”.
“Within the framework of the mission, Swedish “Gripen” fighter jets will contribute to both NATO’s integrated air and missile defense system and the protection of the logistics center used for military and civilian support to Ukraine in southeastern Poland. Swedish fighter jets will primarily be based in Sweden and conduct air operations in Polish airspace,” the press release stated.
