The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Intelligent Transport Management Center (NİİM) has appealed to drivers regarding instances of obstructing bus traffic.

“When a driver enters the lane, obstructs the movement of a bus, and creates a hazardous situation, it causes dozens of passengers, both on the bus and waiting at stops, to waste additional time. Observations indicate that, especially on roads where traffic congestion occurs and bus lanes are organized, some drivers enter these lanes to avoid congestion, thereby creating difficulties for buses. At the same time, the hazardous situations created by drivers of cars also prevent route buses from reaching their stops on time.
Drivers should be aware that any obstruction to bus traffic causes it to fall behind its schedule, resulting in passengers at other stops waiting for longer periods. The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Intelligent Transport Management Center calls on drivers to be more responsible and adhere to the rules in this matter.”
