The State Service for Supervision of Small-Sized Vessels and Rescue in Waters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has held a series of events to educate small vessel users on relevant safety regulations.
elchi reports, citing the MES, that further such events on the topic of “Safe Operation of Small-Sized Vessels” were organized in Gorgan settlement of Pirallahi district in Baku city, the coastal area of the Yevlakh district of the Mingachevir Reservoir in the village of Xanabad, the village of Balaca Hamyə in Siyazan district, the village of Sarıqamış in Neftchala district, and the village of Şahağac in Astara district.
At the events, information was provided to small vessel users, including fishing entities engaged in the industrial fishing of fish and other aquatic bioresources, about the equipment of these types of vessels. Also, the norms regarding the existing requirements for technical supervision of small-sized vessels were explained, and the importance of technical inspection of the mentioned watercraft in accordance with the legislation and obtaining relevant licenses for driving rights was highlighted. At the same time, small vessel drivers were also educated on the rules for using collective and individual rescue equipment and navigation equipment.
Finally, informational brochures on the equipment and safe operation rules of small-sized vessels were distributed to vessel users.
