The US aircraft carrier “USS George H. W. Bush” with a crew of approximately 4,800 people will arrive in Phuket on October 5.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a post published on the Facebook page of the Patong City Police Department in the island province of Phuket.
“The ‘USS George H. W. Bush’ with a crew of approximately 4,800 people and the destroyer ‘USS Delbert D. Black’ with a crew of approximately 320 people will anchor in the deep-water port from October 5 to 10, 2026,” the statement says.
Thai police have drawn the special attention of the US side to the importance of the arriving sailors and officers strictly adhering to the kingdom’s laws during their stay on the island.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in April that the “USS George H. W. Bush” aircraft carrier had arrived in the Middle East region as part of three carrier strike groups. On September 2, the US Navy aircraft carrier “Abraham Lincoln” made its first stop at the port of Pattaya after more than eight months of combat duty.
