NATO allies, including the US, are ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine in the event of a conflict settlement.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the alliance’s Secretary General Mark Rutte.
He noted that the final decision regarding membership in the alliance belongs to Ukraine itself. “However, allies, including the US, are ready to provide the necessary security guarantees. In January, in Paris, under the leadership of French President Emmanuel Macron, we agreed on a package of guarantees,” he said at an event held in New York and broadcast live on NATO’s social media channels.
According to Rutte, in the event of a “peace agreement,” all parties providing guarantees will know exactly “who is responsible for what.”
