United States Vice President J.D. Vance expects progress in resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict following the upcoming meeting between the US and Ukrainian leaders.
elchi reports that he stated this to journalists before departing for New York.
“This is one of the most difficult international conflicts to resolve. I think he (US President Donald Trump – ed.) will meet with Zelensky (Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky – ed.) either tomorrow or the day after. Therefore, I am confident that some progress will be made,” he emphasized.
According to Vance, the US intends to continue its efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and is confident that the conflict will ultimately be resolved.
“I prefer working with a president who is actively trying to solve this problem. We will continue to try to solve it. Do I think it will be resolved in the end? Yes, it is just a matter of time,” he stated.
Earlier, Zelensky announced that he had reached an agreement on a meeting with Trump. According to him, the meeting is expected to take place in New York.
