“CNN”, “MS NOW” and “Politico” journalists intend to file a lawsuit against US President Donald Trump’s administration over the ban on their entry to the White House. The editorial offices believe that this decision violates the First Amendment to the US Constitution. The lawsuit has been submitted to the Washington District Court.

Trump announced the ban on September 18, accusing journalists from these media outlets of spreading “fake news”. The following day, journalists from the three organizations were not allowed into the White House, and their press passes were revoked or confiscated.
“CNN”, “MS NOW” and “Politico” stated in a joint statement that they are demanding the immediate restoration of access. They also emphasized that they will continue to cover the administration’s activities.
