Formula 1 and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have announced the calendar for the 2027 Formula 1 World Championship following approval by the World Motor Sport Council.
According to information provided to “Elchi” by the Baku City Circuit, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place from September 24 to 26.
The 2027 season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix, to be held from March 12 to 14. The final race of the World Championship will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from December 10 to 12.
The championship will consist of 24 rounds held in 22 countries. In 2027, the number of sprint races will be increased from 6 to 10. The first official pre-season tests of the season will take place from February 24 to 27 at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.

Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali noted that the 2027 calendar creates a magnificent stage for another unforgettable Formula 1 season by bringing together some of the world’s most famous circuits and most dynamic cities: “We are pleased with the return of Portugal and Turkey to the championship, as well as the increase in the number of sprint races to 10. Thus, in 2026 and 2027, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on the same dates — September 24–26.
