The total export potential between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan exceeds $1.15 billion.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Mirshohid Aslanov, CEO and co-founder of the Center for Progressive Reforms (CPR) of Uzbekistan, at the presentation of the “Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Business Barometer”.
According to him, this creates the necessary foundation for realizing the goal set by the leadership of both countries to increase the mutual trade turnover to $1 billion.
It was noted that, according to research conducted by the Center for Progressive Reforms (CPR) and CASPIA based on ITC Trade Map data, the real potential for expanding mutual supplies is estimated across more than 43 product categories.
According to the research, the upper limit of Azerbaijan’s unrealized export potential to Uzbekistan for 22 main product items amounts to approximately $650 million.
