A report prepared by the Pentagon’s official oversight body has revealed that Iranian attacks have caused serious damage to US military and diplomatic facilities in the Middle East. The report noted that some critical ammunition stocks have decreased significantly, while others have been completely exhausted.

The report, covering the period from February 28 to June 30, stated that Iranian attacks targeted US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Jordan. According to the report, numerous buildings and facilities at US bases in the region were damaged or completely destroyed during the attacks. In addition, some of the US’s critical ammunition stocks have decreased significantly, and some have been completely exhausted.
It was reported that due to the attacks, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) relocated some personnel, military assets, and storage facilities to different locations. In this context, the report highlighted the withdrawal of US Army medical evacuation helicopters from Iraq and Kuwait, noting that medical evacuations were instead carried out by land to local medical facilities in the region.
The report also included information that the US Navy’s regional headquarters in Bahrain was destroyed as a result of Iranian attacks. Furthermore, it was noted that Iran’s attacks on US diplomatic facilities in the Middle East caused approximately $184 million in damage.
Noting that approximately 3,500 diplomatic personnel have remained away from the region since the war began, the report states: “Limited operations continue at many US missions in the region. Some diplomats and their families have begun to return to the region.”
