Peskov: The situation in oil markets is rapidly deteriorating

Peskov explains the deterioration of the situation in the oil market.
elchi reports that the situation in global oil markets is rapidly deteriorating due to new tensions in the Persian Gulf. According to TASS, this was stated by the Press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.
“We are currently observing that the situation in oil markets is generally deteriorating. This deterioration is happening rapidly and is mainly conditioned by instability and new waves of tension in the Persian Gulf region,” he noted.
Earlier reports in the media stated that new attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and the strike on an oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia could further exacerbate disruptions in global oil supply. Against this backdrop, oil prices crossed the $100 mark in September for the first time since July.
On September 11, several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacked the “East-West” oil pipeline near the cities of Medina and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. The UAVs were launched from Iraqi territory. After the attack, oil transportation through the “East-West” pipeline was suspended.
