Within the framework of the “Loyalty to the Trust” project, organized jointly by the “Zafar” Public Union for Support to Martyrs’ Families and “Azerlotereya” OJSC, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, an event dedicated to “Knowledge Day” was held for family members of martyrs who were admitted to higher education institutions this year. More than 30 young people who earned the title of student gathered for a breakfast event held in Icherisheher.
“Elchi” reports that Osman Karakuş, Chairman of the Board of “Azerlotereya” OJSC, Sevinc Orucova, Chairwoman of the “Zafar” Public Union for Support to Martyrs’ Families, and Rüfət Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the “Icherisheher” State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, spoke at the event.
In their speeches, the achievements of the young people were highly praised, and they were wished success in their new student life. At the same time, the importance of the attention and support shown to the families of martyrs, as well as the expansion of educational and personal development opportunities for young people, was emphasized.
During the event, children of martyrs who achieved high scores in university entrance exams also spoke. They shared their impressions, future education and career plans, and expressed their wishes. The young people who earned the title of student expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the attention and care shown, emphasizing that they would work with all their might to become professionals worthy of their Motherland and society.
Afterward, a video dedicated to the “Loyalty to the Trust” project was screened. Participants wrote their wishes on a special wish board and took commemorative photos.
Later in the day, the participants joined a tour of Icherisheher led by Honored Cultural Worker and famous presenter Rahib Azəri. During the tour, the young people became acquainted with historical streets and sites, and received detailed information about architectural monuments, Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, and the history of Icherisheher. Finally, gifts were presented to the students.
It should be noted that the “Loyalty to the Trust” project has been implemented for 5 years. The goal of the project is to support the intellectual and emotional development of the children of martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, to expand their educational and social opportunities, and to create conditions for them to spend their summer holidays in an interesting and productive way.
Over these years, the project has covered 231 students. 73 of them have already graduated, and this year, 37 more young people have earned the title of student.
Within the framework of the project, summer camps have been organized for young people in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Austria, and Germany. During the camps, participants visited museums and historical monuments, as well as various regions, and participated in training sessions on career planning, personal development, teamwork, and leadership. In addition, various sports and intellectual competitions were held for the youth.
Also, within the framework of the “Loyalty to the Trust” project, the tuition and living expenses of children of martyrs studying in state higher education institutions in Turkey, and the living expenses of children of martyrs studying in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan are covered.
