1000 manats will be given to those who keep ‘Karabakh’ horses

In order to protect and increase the number of national horse breeds of Azerbaijan, an annual animal subsidy will be applied to registered ‘Karabakh’ and ‘Dilbaz’ horses.

According to elchi, within the framework of the new subsidy mechanism, an annual subsidy of 600 manats will be provided for foals up to two years old, 800 manats for breeding mares over 2 years old, and 1000 manats for breeding stallions.

To receive the subsidy, it will be a key requirement for the horses to be registered in the Electronic Agricultural Information System (EKTIS), to be electronically chipped, and for their parentage to be confirmed by a DNA test.

This support measure is intended to serve the protection of the gene pool of national horse breeds, the strengthening of breeding work, and the increase in the number of ‘Karabakh’ and ‘Dilbaz’ horses.
