From September 10 to December 9, 2026, the eastern part of Poland will be included in the EP R134 temporary restricted air traffic zone.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in a declaration by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces on the “X” network.
The zone will cover the space from the ground surface up to the FL95 flight level, which is approximately 3 km in altitude. This is an important detail, as passenger aircraft operate at much higher altitudes.
“Thus, the restriction zone does not apply to passenger aircraft flying at high altitudes,” the Operational Command of the Armed Forces reported.
The Command explains that these restrictions are intended to ensure the more effective operation of the military air defense system in eastern Poland.
