Members of the Estonian parliament have elected Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise as the new president of the republic for a five-year term through a secret ballot.
“Elchi” reports that the broadcast was conducted by the parliament’s press service.
71 deputies voted in favor of Madise’s election, while seven legislators did not support her.
