US President Donald Trump defended his frequently criticized immigration policy at an event in Las Vegas, claiming that he has prevented illegal immigrants from entering the country and that they will continue to deport undocumented immigrants who commit crimes.
“Elchi” reports that shortly after taking office, he stated he had stopped the entry of illegal immigrants, saying: “Within 30 days, I stopped millions of people from entering our country. Imagine, our country was being invaded. 25 million people were coming into our country through our southern border.”
Trump claimed that not a single illegal immigrant has entered the country in the last 15 months. Stating that they are working to eliminate the “scourge of immigrant crime,” Trump said: “You saw what happened in Spain last week, more than 60,000 immigrants flooded the border, occupied a city, attacked innocent citizens, and looted the streets. This is what the communists want for America.”
Trump defended the arrests and deportations carried out by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), saying, “We will always stand with law enforcement.”
