Azerbaijan Airlines, one of the AZCON Holding companies, has added another “Airbus A320neo” aircraft to its fleet.
This was reported to elchi by AZAL.
It was stated that this is the fourth aircraft the airline has added to its fleet this year. With the addition of the new aircraft to the fleet, the total number of aircraft in operation by Azerbaijan Airlines has reached 30.
The commissioning of the “Airbus A320neo” aircraft is the next step in the program implemented by Azerbaijan Airlines to renew its fleet with new-generation aircraft. This approach supports the airline’s priorities of increasing operational flexibility, meeting growing passenger demand more efficiently, and developing its route network.
Thanks to the “Airspace” cabin, spacious overhead bins, high-speed Wi-Fi, individual monitors in business class, and new-generation engines, the aircraft provides higher passenger comfort as well as lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
It should be noted that in the first half of the current year, Azerbaijan Airlines expanded its fleet with two “Airbus A320neo” and one “Airbus A321neo” aircraft. By the end of 2026, Azerbaijan’s national air carrier plans to add a record number of new aircraft to its fleet. Within the framework of this program, the airline is gradually commissioning new-generation “Airbus” aircraft and aims to increase the number of aircraft in its fleet to 50 by 2032.
