Special forces of the Azerbaijan Army are participating in a joint military exercise codenamed “Zulfiqar” on Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Defense, in addition to our country, personnel from the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, as well as special forces from Turkey and Pakistan, are participating in the exercise held within the framework of military cooperation and training programs.
The scenario of the joint exercises, which involves the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), modern military equipment, and systems, includes a series of tactical activities simulating various operational conditions.
Participants will perform tasks on urban warfare, hostage rescue, and counter-terrorism operations, as well as conduct practical live-fire exercises using weapons of various calibers.
The purpose of the exercise is to increase the operational capabilities of the units, develop the combat readiness of special forces, strengthen coordination during joint activities among participating forces, and ensure the exchange of experience in the field of special operations.
