The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced the end of a six-day wave of attacks against Iran.
“Elchi” reports that a written statement from CENTCOM says: “CENTCOM has concluded the final major wave of attacks against Iran, which began at 21:40 Eastern Time (04:40 Turkish time).”
The statement notes that the US used fighter jets, drones, and warships to strike Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance and air defense positions, military logistics infrastructure, and naval capabilities. It emphasizes that this was the sixth consecutive night of US attacks against Iran.
The statement also mentions that more than 50,000 US troops are currently deployed in the Middle East.
CENTCOM had announced the start of a new wave of airstrikes against Iran yesterday at 21:00.
Iranian media reported that following the US military’s announcement of a new wave of attacks, the targets included Iranshahr airport, the city of Hamidieh, and a bridge in Bandar Abbas.
