A memorandum of understanding with the US makes sense only when its provisions are followed; otherwise, there is no basis for Iran to comply with it.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated in an address to the Iranian people by Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s unicameral parliament (Majlis).
“A memorandum of understanding with the US makes sense only when its provisions are fulfilled. If Iran does not benefit from this memorandum of understanding, there is no basis for us to comply with such an agreement,” the statement, published on Ghalibaf’s Telegram channel, said.
He emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces “have full freedom of action to counter enemy aggression.”
