Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded French President Emmanuel Macron with the state Order of Liberty.
“Elchi” reports that the Ukrainian leader announced this on social media following his meeting with his French counterpart in Paris.
According to him, the relations between the two countries have reached a strategic level largely due to Macron’s personal efforts.
Zelensky also stated that the parties discussed the situation on the front line, Ukraine’s needs to strengthen air defense, as well as priorities ahead of the meetings of the missile defense and volunteer coalitions.
“We discussed in detail the situation on the front line and Ukraine’s needs in protecting citizens from Russian attacks. It is important to strengthen Ukraine, reinforce our air defense system, and accelerate the development of Europe’s missile defense system. France has the necessary capabilities and advanced technologies to help in this endeavor. We will work in this direction together with our allies,” he added.
