The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has highly appreciated Pakistan’s efforts towards resolving the US-Iran conflict.
“Elchi” reports that President Ilham Aliyev touched upon this issue at the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum while answering a question from a Pakistani journalist regarding Islamabad’s peace efforts in resolving the US-Iran conflict.
“My message to them is to convey my best wishes and to wish them to continue these magnificent efforts. I called my dear brother, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and congratulated him on the agreement reached. Because this agreement was possible mainly due to Pakistan’s mediation efforts. This once again shows that your country enjoys great respect in the international arena. Pakistan was the only country that took on this responsibility by undertaking the mediation mission. We were also closely following the course of events and saw that the Prime Minister, the Field Marshal, and their teams approached this process with full dedication. I am sure that against the background of recent events and the new tension that has arisen, they will again do their best to stop the confrontation. I think there is no other country that can do this except Pakistan. I hope and believe that they will again succeed in contributing to the establishment of peace in the Middle East. This is also another indicator of your country’s potential, the ability of your leaders, and the broad international reputation that Pakistan has gained not only in this matter but in general,” the head of state noted.
