“Qarabag” is preparing to strengthen its squad with a new defender.
“Elchi” reports citing Offsideplus.az that the Aghdam club is close to finalizing the transfer of Nihad Mujakic, who plays for the Serbian club “Partizan”.
“Qarabag” is continuing negotiations with the other party for the transfer of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian stopper. The transfer is expected to be made official in the near future.
It should be noted that the 28-year-old central defender, who has a contract with “Partizan” until the summer of 2027, has also played for clubs such as “Sarajevo”, “Kortrijk”, “Hajduk”, “Waasland-Beveren”, “Ankaragucu” and “Eyupspor” during his career.
Although Mujakic, who scored 1 goal in 12 matches for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, was a participant in the 2026 World Cup, he did not appear on the field in his team’s 3 group stage matches and the round of 16 match.
