Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary have proposed including the “Green Energy Corridor” project in the European Union’s list of priority projects.
“Elchi” reports with reference to Teleqraf that this was stated in a joint letter addressed by the four countries to the EU Commissioner for Energy, Dan Jørgensen.
The letter requests that the “Green Energy Corridor” project, which involves laying an electric cable across the bottom of the Black Sea, be included in the list of Projects of Common Interest (PCI) of the EU.
It was noted that the feasibility study for the project has already been completed, and following this stage, the project has officially entered the development phase.
At the ministerial meeting held in Baku, the action plan and budget for the next two years of the project were approved.
