A Ukrainian “Mi-8” military helicopter has crashed in the Poltava region during the neutralization of drones.
“Elchi” reports that UNIAN informed about this today, citing the Brody City Council of Ukraine’s Lviv region.
“On June 30, 2026, the crew of the Mi-8 helicopter was killed while performing a combat mission to neutralize enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),” the report stated.
According to the information, the entire crew, including Captain Yuri Voron, Major Valentin Mukshinov, Senior Lieutenant Bogdan Khmel, and Junior Sergeant Mikhail Deryagan, died as a result of the incident.
According to information provided to TASS by Russian security structures, Valentin Mukshinov, a navigator-pilot of the helicopter squadron of the 16th Separate Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ army aviation, was killed by the Russian Army in the Poltava region through the use of “Geran” strike drones.
