Air attack from Russia on Ukraine: 11 people died

At least 11 people have died as a result of Russian airstrikes on the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, early in the morning. Search and rescue teams are racing against time to reach civilians trapped under the rubble of partially destroyed apartment buildings.
“Elchi” reports that Kyiv’s chief military commander, Timur Tkashenko, stated that at least 46 people, including 5 children, were injured in the attacks.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that Russian ballistic missiles struck several buildings in the city, causing fires in some apartment complexes.
Klitschko added that warehouses and a garage workshop were also damaged. Footage from the city shows smoking piles of rubble and burnt vehicles. Rescue teams continued their work on Monday morning to find survivors.
Ukraine accuses Moscow of deliberately targeting civilian areas, while Russia claims it is targeting military and energy bases in response to Ukrainian attacks on power plants and energy facilities within Russian territory.
The attacks continued throughout the night, and electricity was temporarily cut off in the city of Sevastopol, located in Russian-occupied Crimea.
