Former commander of US Army Europe, General Ben Hodges, has stated that there is no likelihood of Russia using nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Hodges noted that Russia has the capability to use nuclear weapons and that Ukraine should take this matter seriously.
“Unless there is a direct or existential threat to Russia, it is unlikely that Moscow will use these weapons against Ukraine or anywhere else,” the US general emphasized.
