A strong fire has broken out on the side of the highway in Lankaran.
According to the report by APA’s southern bureau, the fire started on the new Alat–Astara highway in the section passing through the city of Lankaran.
Dry grass in an open area on the side of the road has caught fire. Due to windy weather conditions, the flames spread to a large area in a short time and are moving rapidly along the highway. The dry grass mass, which was not cleared in time, creates conditions for the fire to expand further. The possibility of the flames crossing to the other side of the road is also considered high.
