The US does not rule out the resumption of military operations against Iran if Tehran begins to restore its nuclear program, poses a threat to neighboring countries, or supports militant groups in the region.
“Elchi” reports that US Vice President J.D. Vance told journalists about this.
“If Iran wants to restart its nuclear program, threaten its neighbors, or fund terrorism, the President (Donald Trump – ed.) has options. I cannot promise anything, because, of course, it ultimately depends on how the Iranians themselves behave. One thing I am sure of is that the President will not send our troops back unless it is necessary,” Vance said.
However, he assessed the progress of technical consultations between US and Iranian representatives positively: “It is too early to talk about the results, but they are going well.”
