Against the backdrop of Azerbaijan’s economic power, significant achievements in foreign policy, and the new realities shaped by this strength, the number of forces and enemies unable to digest our country’s successes is growing. They cannot in any way digest Azerbaijan’s power, economic rise, the influential position it has gained among world states, and the high-level support for its international initiatives. They still want to see Azerbaijan as it was in 1991—having just restored its independence, experiencing severe political, economic, and military crises, and facing the threat of disintegration. However, today’s Azerbaijan is a completely different state. Undoubtedly, their desire is far from reality.
It must be noted with regret that some states and organizations openly take a biased position against our country, financing various circles and inciting them to act against Azerbaijan’s national interests. Along with this, they are trying to involve some Azerbaijani citizens living abroad in this process and to demonstrate a biased position against their own country. Some individuals who have fallen under the influence of circles serving enemy interests are joining this campaign, putting forward untrue claims against our country and state, and voicing biased opinions. In some cases, they even cross the norms of ethical behavior and do not refrain from insulting state and government leaders.
The reason for this is simple. Azerbaijan pursues an independent policy based on national interests and is not a puppet state subject to the will of any foreign power. Our country has restored its sovereign rights and, by consistently defending its national interests, has become a state with a say in the system of international relations. It is precisely Azerbaijan’s independent political will, growing power, and achievements that seriously worry some circles. One of the geniuses noted that if a person hates someone, they have actually lost to them. In this sense, the vast majority of those who harbor hatred for Azerbaijan are trying to cover up the bitterness created by their defeat with hatred. This is true in every sense of the word.
Insults and profanity are indicators of immorality, helplessness, and lack of culture. Those who have no arguments resort to insults, and those who cannot accept the truth choose the language of hatred. You have already lost. Together with the forces that patronize you, you have long been defeated by the Azerbaijani people and state. You are trying to hide the bitterness created by this defeat with insults and hatred. However, neither insults nor hatred can change the truth. President Ilham Aliyev writes the truth of Azerbaijan with his determined policy based on national interests and the spirit of the people, his consistent activities, and his international prestige. The people do not forget this. Just as they did not forget the friends of yesterday, they do not forget the enemies of today either. The memory of the people is strong; no step taken against national interests will be forgotten!
