The Armenian government will consider the issue of recognizing CJSC “Electric Networks of Armenia” as a public enterprise in mid-July.
“Elchi” reports, citing Armenian media, that the company’s interim manager, Romanos Petrosyan, told journalists about this.
According to him, in the future, the company may be transferred to concession management. Along with this, the concessionaire will also be obliged to invest in the development of infrastructure.
Earlier, it was noted in the government that a decision regarding the company’s status would be made in July.
For information, concession management is the transfer of state-owned property or service sectors to private (local or foreign) investors or companies for a certain period and under certain conditions.
