Mexico is evacuating more than twenty of its citizens who wish to return home from earthquake-stricken Venezuela.
According to the news from elchi, the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) announced this on the “X” social network.
The ministry recalled that a day earlier, aircraft belonging to the Mexican Air Force delivered humanitarian aid and 250 rescuers to Venezuela.
“Twenty-six of our compatriots have expressed their voluntary desire to return to Mexico and are waiting to return home with the help of Air Force flights,” the statement said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that after the earthquake, employees of the Mexican Embassy in Caracas contacted 73 Mexican citizens living permanently or temporarily in Venezuela.
According to the foreign policy department, all of them are in safe areas and are in good health.
