A forest fire has broken out in the Viotia region, located in the central part of Greece.

Residents living in areas near the fire site have been sent notifications by the competent authorities via the emergency alert system to remain vigilant.
The fire started in a forest area near the coastal village of Agios Vasileios, located on the northeastern coast of the Gulf of Corinth.
51 firefighters, 17 fire engines, two infantry brigades of the 4th fire brigade, two amphibious firefighting aircraft, and two helicopters have been involved in extinguishing the fire.
Local authorities have also sent water tanker trucks to the scene.
