Events held in MES structures on the occasion of Armed Forces Day

Events dedicated to June 26 – Armed Forces Day have been held in the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

At the events, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was first played, and the dear memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our people and the territorial integrity of our lands was commemorated with a minute of silence.

It was stated at the meetings that our glorious Armed Forces, which have emerged unscathed from the ruthless trials of time, have become the unshakable pillar of a powerful Azerbaijan and the reliable protector of our people, turning into a perfect Army capable of defending our lands from any attack. This strong Army, built according to modern standards, is one of the greatest achievements of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and his worthy successor, the President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

It was noted that after the return of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to power in the early years of Azerbaijan’s independence at the insistence and demand of the people, large-scale and fundamental reforms were carried out in the field of army building, as in other areas, laying the foundation for today’s valiant Azerbaijani Army. The national army building initiated by the National Leader has been successfully continued by the country’s President, Victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the defense power and combat capability of our Armed Forces have been further increased. It is the result of this policy that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces have become the most powerful Army in the region.

It was stated with great pride and honor that the valiant Azerbaijani Army, under the wise leadership of the Victorious Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, has written its name in the history of world warfare in golden letters with the great Victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War and the successful anti-terror measures carried out in September 2023.
