Serbian Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan at the end of 2026.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, at an official reception held in Belgrade on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces Day.
“We are looking forward to Minister Gašić’s planned official visit to Azerbaijan towards the end of the current year,” the diplomat emphasized.
The Ambassador also noted that mutual support for sovereignty and territorial integrity is one of the cornerstones of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Serbia:
“Today, Serbia is one of Azerbaijan’s closest friends and important partners on the European continent. Defense and military-technical cooperation between our countries has been successfully developing over recent years. The official visit of the Azerbaijani Defense Minister, which took place less than two weeks ago, has made a significant contribution to further strengthening ties in this strategic area.”
