MES calls on beachgoers to follow safety rules during windy weather

The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) has once again appealed to citizens regarding the observance of safety rules at beaches.

elchi reports that the information released by the ministry stated that despite extensive awareness-raising efforts and numerous warnings about the dangers of swimming in windy weather and in non-beach areas, some citizens’ negligence toward safety rules leads to serious consequences.

It was noted that the drowning incident that occurred yesterday in an uncontrolled area known as “Dachnik” in Bilgah settlement of Sabunchu district during windy weather once again demonstrates the importance of following the rules.

MES has called on citizens not to enter the sea during windy weather, not to swim in non-beach areas, and to unconditionally follow the calls and requirements of lifeguards.

“Remember: Indifference to the rules is a threat to our lives!” the appeal emphasized.

The ministry reminded that in case of danger, one should call the 112 hotline.
